Betta Barracks
Looking at Betta
Barracks on the Internet (B.C.
Betta), I modified their plans to fit my budget and space.
Here are some materials used.
PVC ITEMS: Shut
off valve/ ball valve (allows flow in one direction only), T's,
90° elbows, drip valves, threaded pvc for garden hose connection.
All purchased from Home Depot.
Flexible PVC pipe 1/2" purchased from Aquatic
Eco-Systems, Inc
Aluminum framing:
purchased at Home Depot.
Tubing: standard
silicone airline tubing. Purchased from ThatPetPlace.com
Drip/Spray Valves:
purchased from a local hydroponics shop.
Betta Boxes: purchased
a case of Beanie Baby displays at ProductZoo
Pre-cut acrylic
for "Home Made" box purchased at Interstate
Plastics.
Misc. items: hose
clamps, nuts and bolts (to put frame together), solvent
cement, acrylic adhesive and silcone sealant.
Tools needed: Soft
tubing cutters, punch for tubing when adding the drip/spray valves,
screwdriver and plyers.
